Listen, we get what we can around here. I just wanted to share a few things that came off of my sewing machine these last two weeks. I’m having fun over this way!
First up are the patterns that I’ve completed from Michelle Patterns. The grocery bag is her top seller, and I figured I’d make a couple of candy collection bags for Halloween. They’re $22 in my etsy shop AND reversible. The top two are the smallest versions, and the leaf print is the largest. Those will be $30.
This is the bucket bag from Michelle Patterns. It sewed up quickly, and as always with these types of patterns, I love to use denim and a funky lining. The fact that the handle is short too makes it a draw for me as well.
You all have seen this one before, but it’s a Michelle Pattern as well. This was made for a customer, and I added a recessed zipper using a tutorial from Dog Under My Desk’s Daytripper bag (which you can see HERE and HERE) I loved working with the dark grey linen blend and the green lining.
I actually sewed up some clothes for half of my children. The girls got matching Every Little Thing Dresses from Shwin Patterns. I am on an orange kick for some reason, and the lower portion of the dress is a fabric that I’ve been holding on to for a while. I thought that it would be turned into a bag, but it ended up as the bottom portions for two sweet dresses for the Nicholes’ girls. Lil Miss Twizzler really liked her dress, but the ladybug wasn’t feeling as happy about hers. On the back, you’ll see that I made fabric covered buttons as well. I loved the way that they turned out, and that I didn’t have to find plastic buttons that matched.
And because I had just enough fabric to squeeze out this Caroline Clutch by I Think Sew. I love her patterns as well because the simplicity of them allows you to focus on the prints and colors of your projects.

Those dresses are ADORABLE! And I thought you only sewed bags! The buttons add such a cute touch. I’m not sewing anything right now, but I really need to finish a quilt I started last year. I hope I can get back to work on it soon!
Thank you Ginny! I loved making them this time around. I tried last year when the pattern was first released, and I failed. This was when I first learned how to do button holes. The entire thing was a mess! I’m kind of jealous that you are a quilter; it’s something I would love to really learn how to do.
You have been sewing and creating up a storm. Love the bags and the girls dresses. My sewing machine is out of commission, but I’ve been getting busy making things with my crochet hooks and yarn.
