I remember the point in time in which I actually felt like I should learn how to sew. It had to do with a pair of babylegs. I wanted a pair for the ladybug so badly that I could taste it, but I could NOT fathom paying $15 bucks for them, no matter how cute they were. That’s when I decided that I was going to do something about it. Babylegs turned to cloth diapers, and cloth diapers turned into aprons. Aprons turned into a nursery set for someone, and I’ve done that, curtains, clothing, and basically settled on bags. Anyway, my journey to being a sewist didn’t come without help from lots of sources, most currently being Craftsy.
I purchased a class last year around Christmas time to help me with the varying issues that I had with sewing clothes for me. For example, the dress that I made myself for Easter last year was great for a first time sewing something of that caliber for myself, but I didn’t completely like the fit of it. If I knew more about fitting across the bust, and creating darts a bit better, I would have liked it more. I’ve worn it twice, but I feel like I have to make it again to be perfect.
Anyhoo, with that being said, Craftsy is having a weekend sale, offering up to 75% off various classes and switching them out each day. Starting today, and ending Monday, you can find that class that you’ve been eyeing on sale!
Don’t worry if you’re not a sewist (although I say sewer, even though SOME people read that as the place that water runs off to, blah) since they also have classes for knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, and quilting.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and grab these classes before they go back to regular price! You have until Monday. Have fun!
