The last time I wrote about eShakti, it was to show you the awesome yellow pleated dress that I was sent to review. Well that spurned a purchase a couple of months later, and I’m FINALLY able to wear it because the weather broke for long enough in Chicago to do so.
If you’re familiar with the Church of God In Christ, you’ll know that every first Sunday is Communion Sunday and we wear white. Not the guys, they’re in dark suits, and if they are clergy, they wear their appropriate vestments. It’s a lot like being in the military with uniforms for very specific things, and a part of me finds it very soothing. However, there is something that makes me very wary about wearing white. Probably the fact that I have four kids and know that they can turn this bad boy into an art project in mere seconds. That didn’t happen, and I must say that I ROCKED. THIS. DRESS! I love a good shirt dress, and I love a good shirt dress with pockets.
I think that all of the eShakti dresses come with pockets, and that makes my little 5’2″ self giddy. Pockets change the game on a dress. They take it from awesome to awesomeSAUCE.
I paired this white poplin stretch dress with some great Mossimo blue heels from Target that I can finally stand in all day! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve lost about 20 pounds, and now the balls of my feet and my knees don’t give out when I wear my stilettos. I call that a win.
This dress is very comfortable too! The obi belt is obviously adjustable and sits right at the waist level for me. Of course I made sure to measure properly, and this is what happens. I do feel like I do well in knee length skirts because midi length makes me look so weird. With these dresses you can customize sleeve length, neckline shape, skirt length and all of your measurements in general. I do STRONGLY suggest that you wear whatever bra/foundation you will be wearing or thin you will be wearing underneath said garments so that they are as close as possible to what you will look like on that day. I will say that if you have ANY issue with your garment, you have 30 days from the time of purchase to return your piece, and you can get a refund to the card you used or a store gift card. Returns are free, but they can only be initiated online.
Don’t mind me, I was feeling myself a bit. Just a bit. It was too cold to get outside for a photoshoot, but still warm enough to wear the white in general. 
Apparently backs of kneecaps are a hot commodity. I heard a lot of things about the backs of my kneecaps. Who knew? And what’s Sunday services without a car selfie? Here ya go.
I would love to wear this dress myself. I think it would look good on me. I think that it looks good on you, too!
I love that dress. I think I can probably get away with wearing white again, now that my children spend less time in the mud.

You look great! I’ve been wanting to try eShakti. The ability to customize (especially at my height and size) is very appealing. Some dresses that are a modest length on some are definitely not on me!
