Since the weather in Chicago has been on a rollercoaster of emotions at best, there are other things that I have looked to, in order to get those rays. One of them is when Lil Miss let's her guard down and smiles BIG for my camera. On my Facebook page, she's ALWAYS giving me the side-eye when the camera comes out, so any time I can catch her with her toothy grin, I'm doing it! This was taken on my front porch stoop earlier this spring when Mother Nature decided that she wanted to warm the city up. I think it's perfect. I know that I have no idea what I'm doing in regard to white balance, and all that jazz, but this picture perfectly epitomizes the Lil Miss that I see 85% of the time. It keeps me going.
Now, to explain this photo. Last week, I was flying and lucked up BOTH flights. The flight TO Minnesota had no one in the middle seat and my flight back had NO ONE ELSE sitting next to me. I don't know about you, but I'm not partial to folk seeing my head flounce back and forth when I'm attempting to sleep sitting up. That's a character trait that I reserve specifically for Mr. Houseful.
