Fleming’s $100 Margarita #FlemingsMargarita

Chicago, Recipes

This is a conversation about the Fleming’s $100 Margarita sponsored by Network Niche. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Yes, you read that right! A $100 margarita, and you can try one at your local Fleming’s Steakhouse for Cinco de Mayo. Before you get angry at the price, know that this margarita is served in a limited edition Diamant Baccarat highball glass – crystal – and uses the highest premium of tequila from De Herradura.

Fleming's $100 Margarita

I’m not a purveyor of fine liquors by any means, but I do admire the science and knowledge that it takes to proved a great product for people, and the distillers at De Herradura, seem to have a winner on their hands. They are teaming up with Baccarat, and Fleming’s Steakhouse all over the nation to offer a $100 margarita from May 4-6 in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

During a night out for digital and print influencers, we were given the backgrounds of why tequila qualifies as silver, reposado, or anejo. As you can see, we were all ready to document the night, and we learned a ton about what goes into the making of a premium tequila. All of this comes down to time, and De Herradura takes the sweet route of it. Often doubling or tripling the amount of time that is required for tequila to qualify in these categories.

Once again, a night of learning commenced, and I was educated to the fact that tequila has “legs” just like wine, and there’s a whole lot of oak and sometimes black licorice smell in some of them. My sniffer is pretty decent for someone who is completely void of liquor knowledge, if I do say so myself.

Fleming's $100 Margarita

One thing that I did notice about Fleming’s Steakhouse is it’s the PERFECT backdrop for getting together with the folks that you love. Whether that’s for a girls night out, or simply celebrating the fact that you made it to Friday and the kids are still alive, with your spouse. Cinco de Mayo would be a perfect time to do this, and the Fleming’s $100 Margarita would make a very unique favor for you. Especially since you get to take the Diamant Baccarat highball glass home with you.  After careful research, I’ve realized that the glass alone is worth way more than the $100 you’re paying for your fancy margarita.

Remember that you only have a small window to grab these specialty cocktails, and if you don’t have a chance to get a Fleming’s $100 Margarita during it’s limited run, you can make your own at home with the recipe below.

It’s really cool that you got to learn more about tequilas while you were there! It would be so cool to try one of the 100$ margaritas at Fleming’s.

If it helps, it had gold flakes on the rim. Made for a good presentation!

I’m sure that I’m in that camp with you Sarah. I think that my church upbringing has made it so my palate is just not friendly enough for distilled liquor. LOL! I do love the learning process of how it’s made, and the pride that the distillery takes in making it. Anything made from a plant that makes people this happy, piques my interest.
