Finding Excellent Early Childhood Education with Bright Horizons

Finding Excellent Early Childhood Education with Bright Horizons

A long time ago, my oldest son was a wee lad, and I was a young mother. I wanted him to be in a program that was of great quality, but where I didn’t have to worry about getting there, or selling him to be able to afford the education in general. Well, now that he’s a senior in high school, I know that he learned great lessons, but I sure would have been happy to have Bright Horizons in my view at the time. Given the fact that Bright Horizons 30+ years of leadership in the field of early childhood education, it would have been a great partnership. Finding excellent early childhood education shouldn’t be difficult, and I’m here to take some of the mystery out of it.

It was very important to me that Nathaniel had fun at school AND learned. It’s one of the things that we really try to encompass here for homeschool. I understand that everyone can’t homeschool – nor do they want to, so it’s always nice to know about other options. The Bright Horizons’ School Readiness factor– through synchronicity with local elementary schools and alignment with national academic standards, it ensures the curriculum is preparing children to succeed when they graduate from  the program. Bright Horizons is a great option for preschool, with curriculum that helps children achieve school readiness in all areas of academic and social learning. Think reading, writing, recognition of numbers and letters, and just how to be a good citizen of the world. ALL of these aspects are what create strong foundations for children, and what creates a socially comfortable individual.

It may not seem that making friends is an important aspect of early childhood education, but it is. Being able to go out into the world and connect with people verbally is something that needs to be encouraged. Bright Horizons helps with their commitment to students’ growth and education beyond academic elements, which includes essential experiences in community and social awareness.

Bright Horizon’s method of Emergent Curriculum, a developmentally appropriate approach to planning for children’s learning in early childhood settings, is key to who they are. Through this approach, teachers gain greater understanding of each child’s individual needs, allowing for thoughtful and individualized programming. EVERY parent needs to know that their children are getting individual attention as well as help in how to work within groups.

Bright Horizon seems like a really amazing program. I grew up in a different country so I am fascinated by the options available here. I love that Bright Horizon uses a different approach to help kids learn the most.

I am definitely curious to see how the emergent programming would work out. I know that trying to individualize methods of education probably works better. But curious to see how that works out in the standard classroom or how much things would have to be changed to adopt such a method. I loved reading a learning a little more about this though.

My kids have not attended a traditional school until this year. My son is in 1st grade now, so he does. But we love the play based and montessori teaching for preschool and kindergarten. Bright Horizons is a great option for those who do not want a traditional school. Great information on choosing your kiddos education track.

My kids are in a great early education program. They stayed with me at home for years, but now they are going to a Kindergarten prep program. They have learned a lot, and one of my boys has made a great deal of friends.

There are so many studies citing the importance of early childhood education so programs like those offered at Bright Horizons can really make a difference. I know early childhood educational offerings certainly helped our kids. Bright Horizons Emergent Curriculum program really sounds like it caters to each child's individual learning style and that is sure to help them learn.
