Finding Excellent Early Childhood Education with Bright Horizons

Uncategorized

A long time ago, my oldest son was a wee lad, and I was a young mother. I wanted him to be in a program that was of great quality, but where I didn’t have to worry about getting there, or selling him to be able to afford the education in general. Well, now that he’s a senior in high school, I know that he learned great lessons, but I sure would have been happy to have Bright Horizons in my view at the time. Given the fact that Bright Horizons 30+ years of leadership in the field of early childhood education, it would have been a great partnership. Finding excellent early childhood education shouldn’t be difficult, and I’m here to take some of the mystery out of it.

Finding Excellent Childcare with Bright Horizons

It was very important to me that Nathaniel had fun at school AND learned. It’s one of the things that we really try to encompass here for homeschool. I understand that everyone can’t homeschool – nor do they want to, so it’s always nice to know about other options. The Bright Horizons’ School Readiness factor– through synchronicity with local elementary schools and alignment with national academic standards, it ensures the curriculum is preparing children to succeed when they graduate from  the program. Bright Horizons is a great option for preschool, with curriculum that helps children achieve school readiness in all areas of academic and social learning. Think reading, writing, recognition of numbers and letters, and just how to be a good citizen of the world. ALL of these aspects are what create strong foundations for children, and what creates a socially comfortable individual.

Finding Excellent Childcare with Bright Horizons

It may not seem that making friends is an important aspect of early childhood education, but it is. Being able to go out into the world and connect with people verbally is something that needs to be encouraged. Bright Horizons helps with their commitment to students’ growth and education beyond academic elements, which includes essential experiences in community and social awareness.

Bright Horizon’s method of Emergent Curriculum, a developmentally appropriate approach to planning for children’s learning in early childhood settings, is key to who they are. Through this approach, teachers gain greater understanding of each child’s individual needs, allowing for thoughtful and individualized programming. EVERY parent needs to know that their children are getting individual attention as well as help in how to work within groups.

Finding Excellent Childcare with Bright Horizons

School should be fun, and searching for a fantastic early childhood education program should be relatively easy. Start here with your search and know that your infant, toddler or preschool aged child will receive a quality education, and you will receive peace of mind.

What would you look for in a quality early childhood program? Tell me below!

I am a big believer in play-based learning at that age.

I live in a rural community, so we don’t have many options for early childhood education outside of a few preschool programs at the local schools. And fortunately for me, I’m lucky enough to live close to a public elementary and parochial school with excellent programs. I think I would prefer to send my child to the local catholic school, but it would add a 30 minute commute to my mornings and evenings, so we will probably end up taking Mildred to the local elementary’s preschool program when she is old enough. It’s only about a mile from her house, which will come in handy as they don’t have bus services for preschoolers. However, if we ever move to a larger city I would certainly look into a program like Bright Horizons.

While l know teachers nowadays are pressed for time, I think l would still be looking for individual attention when it comes to the kids. I’ve never heard of Bright Horizons before, but l am passing this along to my cousin as she is searching. I think they would have this close to her. Thanks for the heads up.

Quality education is so important for the little ones. It gives them the proper head start that they need (no pun intend). We have something here called New Horizons, I wonder if it’s affiliated.

This sounds like a fantastic program and I agree that it’s important that children develop social skills earlier on! A lot of parents are so focussed on their child being the smartest in their class that they neglect this!

I’m an advocate of Homeschooling even though I’m an Educator, well at least according to my degree that is collecting dust lol….These types of programs are helpful to parents and teachers! Some parents don’t understand the importance of developing social skills I ran into it a lot when I was in the classroom teaching Kindergarten.

Having a daughter with special needs I’m am looking into various forms of education since she will be headed to Kindergarten next year! I cant wait to check out more about Bright Horizons. I think the important thing for her is to have a mixture of students that have special needs as well as typical students she can learn from!

My children have never been to a traditional school, but I would put them in school if I found one that was a great fit for their personalities and skills. It can be hard trying to vet the right school for your child, but knowing what is most important to you regarding your child’s education is important.

That looks like an amazing program! There are a lot of programs here that say they focus on early childhood development and education, but I have a feeling that they aren’t all like this. They are getting into the neatest things there!

I love how childcare centers have stepped up. My kids went to a similar place when they were younger. If I had more children, Bright Horizons would be high on my list.

I believe there is a bright horizons in my area. Early childhood education should have small sized classrooms because kids tend to learn better in more intimate environments.

There are so many studies citing the importance of early childhood education so programs like those offered at Bright Horizons can really make a difference. I know early childhood educational offerings certainly helped our kids. Bright Horizons Emergent Curriculum program really sounds like it caters to each child’s individual learning style and that is sure to help them learn.

My kids are in a great early education program. They stayed with me at home for years, but now they are going to a Kindergarten prep program. They have learned a lot, and one of my boys has made a great deal of friends.

My kids have not attended a traditional school until this year. My son is in 1st grade now, so he does. But we love the play based and montessori teaching for preschool and kindergarten. Bright Horizons is a great option for those who do not want a traditional school. Great information on choosing your kiddos education track.

I am definitely curious to see how the emergent programming would work out. I know that trying to individualize methods of education probably works better. But curious to see how that works out in the standard classroom or how much things would have to be changed to adopt such a method. I loved reading a learning a little more about this though.

Bright Horizon seems like a really amazing program. I grew up in a different country so I am fascinated by the options available here. I love that Bright Horizon uses a different approach to help kids learn the most.
