Fancy Fall Footwork with Bogs Footwear

Children, Sponsored

Thanks so much to Bogs Footwear for initiating this conversation today on the blog!

It’s fall. Chicago let us know that with a fierceness this weekend that was both frigid and semi welcomed. The ladybug got to try out new hiking boots that we were sent from Bogs Footwear last week, and she is excited to show you.

I’m sure many of you know that living in the midwest is an adventure within itself. Snow one minute, rain the next, and then a flurry of warm temps – and that’s all in the same day! With her new hiking boots, the ladybug can be ready for all of the outdoor activities that we have planned, and keep sure footing with it as well. She loves to run – a lot – and I know that these will also provide a way for her to take those sprints down our sidewalk without having to worry about no grip.

Being homeschooled presents us with lots of time for field trips that she probably wouldn’t get in a regular school setting. We can go to parks and climb walls, and hop from rock to rock in a riverbed (the Chicago River DOES provide an awesome area where you can explore safely) and she can do it in shoes that will support.  We can also visit apple orchards and pumpkin farms, where Bogs hiking boots will make sure to keep the ladybug upright in the dirt and leaves. They also have a non-marking rubber sole, so my new kitchen and living room floors will appreciate not having to have rubber cleaned up from it daily.

What I love the most about these shoes are the fact that she can pull them on herself. There are no laces to tie, and that’s one less pair of shoes that she or I have to worry about coming untied and stopping us from all of our daily exploring that will take us on expeditions of lost leaf art, and rock collections. Finding worms and other creepy crawlies still bold enough to come out during this time of the year. We’ll trek through our neighborhood and stumble upon unclaimed territories, all in the name of exploration. I can’t wait to do it with her.

What SHE loves the most about the boots are the super cool purple color with the pink bottoms! She thinks that they are amazing and she wants another pair – except she wants them to come up to her knees. Lil Miss wasn’t too happy that she didn’t have a pair, and we all know that Sir Twizzler is chomping at the bit for some! I’d say that they definitely made a splash here in our houseful, and they’ll be the talk of the winter season.

These are too cute! My girl loves purple and boots, so I’ll have to look into these for her this winter.

I love the colors!! I’m so tickled that she wants the boots to come up to the knee next time. Ha! My girls would love these boots.
