We Had a Texas Holiday – Seriously

The Houseful Travels, Travel

And all we got was this picture. Seriously folks, I was so out of it during this family time at Wishbone restaurant that I didn’t take any other photos other than the ladybug posed with Pete and Penny the penguins.

Right.

However, I do come bearing LOTS of information about how cool the time we spent there was, and the fact that I NEVER KNEW SEA WORLD WAS IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS! (you see the capital letters there? That means that it was a majorly serious sentence, and you should feel my disbelief)

Basically, Sea World came on up to our city to talk about how a Texas vacation during the the holiday time would be super fun. I mean, December, 80 degrees, for a Chicagoan, that seems to be a great enticing sentence.

There were giveaways and one lucky winner even got an all expense paid trip to San Antonio!

Don’t even think that our entire Houseful was not sporting the huge whale Christmas hats while dining on the great fare provided by Chef Johnny and mingling with some of Chicago’s finest bloggers and television personalities.

Since we usually turn into the Carfull of Nicholes a couple of times a year, we may see if we’ll mosey on down to San Antonio, Texas next year and have ourselves a grand ol’ time there.

And we’ll be sure to find Pete and Penny, and wave hello to them.

Up until recently I lived in Texas for the past 10 years. We use to do weekend trips to San Antonio, Galveston Island, Houston etc. There is so much to do in Texas alone. If you do go to San Antonio make sure to go see the Riverwalk! It will well worth it! And christmas time there………….. Magnificent!

We have property in Texas that I’m itching to get to. Maybe we’ll take a long road trip down there next year! Thanks for coming through!
