It’s Valentine’s Day, and I’m certain that there will be LOTS of engagements happening throughout this day all over the place. Heck, there are people probably still flying high from engagments over the Christmas holidays as well. I’m certain it’s one of the reasons a certain bridal shop has what they call Bridal Christmas around this time. However, today, TARGET wants to put a little something in your pocket to get your started on your journey into wedded bliss.
I remember when Mr. Houseful and I got engaged in 2006 (it seems so long ago) one of the first things that I thought of was completing our registry, since that’s one of the seven questions that people ask you after you have announced your engagement.
1. Can I see your ring?
2. Do you have a date?
3. What colors will you be using?
4. Can I be in it?
5. Are you SURE you want to use that venue?
6. Where are you registered?
7. Can I bring a guest?
I was super excited to get started and immediately signed up for the Target Wedding Registry. I was sent a wonderful Target Wedding Catalog in the mail and immediately, I felt like a kid during the Christmas holidays. It’s so fun to dream and plan for your future together with the one that you loved.
We did eventually head out to Target with a more reasonable list than I initially created, and we both took turns donning the scan gun and adding items to our list. I loved that one of the guest service representatives, let us know guidelines to go by. You know, things like stay in season, keep in mind that things and colors may phase out.
Just don’t wear khaki pants and a red shirt. Trust me on that one.
One thing that Mr. Houseful and I both love to do is cook. He likes grilling (after I have famously seasoned all items) and I love baking (after he has famously gathered all supplies necessary to do so) and we both love what the other has perfected. I’m all about grilled meat and veggies, and he has a sweet tooth that you can’t fight off with a batter laden spoon.
If you wanted to make me break out into a smile larger than the Cheshire Cat’s you would have purchased me any item here:
While Mr. Houseful would have been equally content with receiving this awesome hunk of metal for our house,
It’s no secret that we love entertaining. Often firing up the grill for every holiday during the summer, and made up ones all year round. It’s the fun of being married to your best friend. That’s why these two items were a MUST for us to have on our registry along with aprons, potholders, and the whole grilling kit and caboodle!
So, how about I start you off with a $25 Target gift card to give you the warm fuzzies?
Here’s what you have to do, go to the Target Wedding Registry and let me know what item you would love or would have loved to have on your list. That’s it! Leave the link in the comments below, and you ‘re all set. Just make sure that I have a valid email to get back to you (it should be included when you sign in – no need to post it for everyone to see. )

Thanks!
I love Target! Matt and I registered there. And he actually enjoyed it, but only because I let him use the gun. He actually registered us for a box of Cheerios. But I got the good stuff on the registry too. We got the KitchenAid Artisan mixer in Silver ( http://www.target.com/p/kitchenaid-artisan-5-qt-stand-mixer/-/A-14329218#prodSlot=medium_1_3&term=kitchenaid+mixer ) which I love! And my Wilton cooling racks that I couldn’t live without ( http://www.target.com/p/wilton-3-tier-cooling-grid-black/-/A-13189264#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=wilton+cooling+rack ) at least not if Matt wants cookies. 🙂
I would love to have or give the Hamilton Beach Bowl Scraper Food Processor
