Mr. Clean #LiquidMuscle Gel Cleaner

This New Year cleaning resolution tips post is brought to you by Mr. Clean as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post.

#LiquidMuscle

I can not believe that I am about to post photos of the bathtub from our Houseful after an evening’s worth of baths by the littles. I’m going to go ahead and say it. Kids are dirty. I’m not sure where the dirt comes from, but I’m sure that my bathtub hates each and every time the water turns on and the kids scramble in for their evening baths.

I think that they enjoy rolling around and collecting every bit of dust, and grit that they possibly can. And my bathtub shows it. Each and every time that they bathe.

This is the carnage that is usually left after a bath. I despise tub rings, but it’s part of the cesspool that happens when you submerge bodies into a pool of water.

Even the poor rubber duckies suffer. Feel bad for them. So when I was asked to try out the cleaning power of  Mr. Clean #LiquidMuscle I was all for it.

As shown in the above photo, the gel is concentrated and smells a bit like lemons. Not overpowering though AND you can use less to do more because it’s concentrated, which means that there is 2.5X more cleaning power in each drop! Color me happy, and color the cellist happy too, since I cleaned the tub last night. Anytime he has one less day of cleaning, he’s stoked.

I love the auto stop cap that it has so that I didn’t accidentally empty the entire bottle into areas that I was cleaning – because you know, I try not to do it all that much. ESPECIALLY the bathroom. HELLO! That’s why I have a teenager!

Here’s a pictorial of the tub cleaning process that I went through last night.

The poor souls lost in last night’s bathing adventures.

The tub was cleaned in no time, and now I can just hand it on over to the cellist when it’s time for him to resume bathroom cleaning duties.

All of that cleaning brings me to the thoughts of keeping a cleaner home and how we try to do it over in our houseful.

1. Clean up a little each day. Literally. Trying to tackle everything in one day is counterproductive for us.

2. Have a scheduled time to clean certain rooms. Living Room & Dining Room gets cleaned on certain days, Bedrooms another, and office on another. The only rooms not involved in those scheduled days are the kitchen and bathroom.

3. Start your children cleaning early. The twizzlers are fully capable of putting toys back in toy chests, and the ladybug can help return items to their correct places.

Our house isn’t spotless, but it’s comfortable, and I’m getting to a point where I don’t apologize for the mess when people come over. Because it’s not a mess anymore.

I'm like Shelly, I love to clean. In fact, I'd rather clean than cook, so I'll def give this a try.
