Now that the cool weather seems to be gone for the better part of the season (work with me here, especially after Thursday’s frigid temps in downtown Chicago) many women are dropping their pants – figuratively, and donning dresses, skirts, and shorts and showing off their stems! However, we all have to do one of those important things if we choose to, and that’s rid ourselves of leg hair that has possibly been growing since the temperature started dropping last year. Having smooth legs is a great accesory. That’s right ladies, I’m getting you prepared to #SummerizeYourLegs.
For as long as I have known him, Mr. Houseful has been quite enthralled with my legs. Granted, they were more defined when I was a teenager, but he’s never let me lose sight about how much he loves them, so I kind of take pride in showing them off. ESPECIALLY when he’s around. As a matter of fact, he volunteered to be my photographer this time around, and each and every shot was wonderfully clear. He loves nothing more than seeing me in a skirt or dress with heels or sandals, or heck, even barefoot, as long as he can catch a glimpse of the legs. I’ll keep him.
To start my process, I went to one of the newer Walmart’s in the city (it’s a SuperCenter) and I am in LOVE! I headed directly to the shaving aisle, and found the Shick Intuition razor and the Skintimate shaving cream in Mandarin Burst (smells so good!) This was my first time using the Intuition blade, and I’m glad that I was able to try it this go round. No worries ladies, I left more than enough for you all so you can get your legs ready for summer with lots of moisture, a quality razor and plenty of sun protection. You can find shaving, moisturizing and beauty products at Walmart.com.
So, true story, I tried to photograph myself shaving my legs, and it got kind of weird, so I decided to tell you about all of the great things that you can do after you get those legs all nice and smooth! Right now, you can enter to win a Summerize Prize Pack on Walmart.com. While you are there, check out the TIPS for getting your legs nice and smooth for all the flaunting that you will be doing this summer. What’s better yet is if you pick up the lastest edition of All You Magazine – found in your local Walmart, and check out the ad for Prep, Shave, Protect – Launching 5/13 which includes coupons to save you $ on Schick and Skintimate products. Saving money is never a bad thing, and pairing that with smooth legs is going to make a certain Mr. Houseful happy.
Today, I also had the pleasure of going outside to a warehouse for a photo shoot. My legs were the stars of course. How could they not be? By the way, to get that great moisture AND sun protection (yes, us folk of a deeper skin tone need sun protection, remind me to tell you all about the time that I got sunburned during bootcamp) I picked up a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance SPF 30 sunscreen lotion. It’s so coconutty and light!
Are you wondering what a guy does when his wife asks him to take photos of her legs? Why, he gets down on the ground and becomes the world’s best style photographer.
I guess that I am a bit biased as well, because I’ve been rubbing my own legs almost all day. They are just THAT soft. It’s a wonder that I didn’t think to pair a nourishing razor WITH shaving cream before. I’ve always been a fan of any sunscreen, but also never tried Hawaiian Tropic.

I have to admit that Walmart really does offer a great selection when it comes to shaving products. I have been summerizing my legs and now I just need our weather to cooperate so that I can actually show them off. Kudos to Mr Houseful for assisting with your photoshoot!
