Friday is going to be so great at Macy’s State Street! Not just because I will be there, but #MacysChef and Culinary Council members Stephanie Izard and Nancy Silverton will be on site sharing their recipes for great holiday dishes to make for your guests!
Nancy Silverton was named one of Food and Wine Magazine’s “Best New Chefs” in 1990 as well as Pastry Chef of the Year and Who’s Who of Cooking by the James Beard Foundation. On a personal note, I’ve used her sourdough starter to make the bread bowls that I showed you all this year. It was AMAZING! She’s ALL about the breads and pastries. I love it.
Stephanie Izard is the chef behind Girl and the Goat, Little Goat and the soon to be Duck, Duck, Goat here in Chicago. She’s also funny as all get out, and another one of the Culinary Council members of Macy’s. I’ve made her roasted cauliflower for the blog as well. It’s just that good, and a great way to get a vegetable that not many people eat outside of crudite platters, better.
This Friday, Macy’s is honored to bring both of them to you to show off some of their holiday recipes. I’m super excited about it, because I’m sure that I will be adding some of these to my holiday meal aresenal. As an added bonus, if you spend $35 in the Home Department (located in the lower level – I mean I need to help you with these things, right?) you’ll receive a $10 Macy’s gift card, and a signed copy of either Girl in the Kitchen, or The Mozza Cookbook or just spend $70 or more and get them both! Awesome, right?
