I feel completely horrible that I missed last weeks linky party, but this one is sure to be one that EVERYONE can participate in, because it’s going to be a WIP (work in progress) linky party. With Easter coming up and pattern testing for some very great women, I’ve been knee deep in my sewing room.
Also, I’m really attracted to the color coral for some reason this year. I think that it inadvertently started with Old Navy a very long time ago, now I can’t get the color out of my head, and the coral/navy color combo is really speaking to me. Also, Michael Miller is KILLING me with his new line The Littles. KILLING ME DEAD I TELL YOU! I ended up buying two pieces from his fabric collection. One each to feature with the children for Easter. I’m still pretty lucky that the cellist still wants me to make him stuff. I don’t take it lightly. We’re going to try for a shirt, but we’ll see. If not, a bow tie it is!
So far, we’ve made it to a completed bodice for the ladybug, and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I think I need more contrast, we’ll see.
I’ve also made myself a tulle skirt, and a shirt by Liesl & Company that I’ll probably debut next week sometime. I’m still not sure if it’s Easter proper, or if I should save it for a date with Mr. Houseful. Not that it’s sexy, just a bit flashier than normal. I tell you, the things that we go through as women!
Here’s the pattern I used from Liesl – the Digital Weekend Getaway Blouse. I used another line from Michael Miller’s Nature Walk, and I’m just not sure. It wasn’t the drapey material that this pattern called for, but I’m liking it, just not the way that I have it styled. Does that make sense?
Enough about me! I want to know about you! What are you sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, or crafting? Link up below and let me know!

I love the top part of the dress you’ve got so far. But if you want more contrast, the polka dots print would be great in navy. 🙂

That’s what I’m thinking too Andrea, however the dress is completely finished, and I still hate it. LOL! The ladybug likes it for what it’s worth, but not for Easter. She wants a skirt and shirt like me. >sigh< I've created a monster.

Love the sailboats and polka dots! I’ll have to do a post on my crochet project I’m working on and link it up.

Please do! I always love seeing what other people are making and drooling over it. When I get my mind right, I’ll crochet something else.
