What I Wore Sunday: Target Style

Fashion

Target Ensemble

Hey Now! I’m doing pretty well so far! Last Sunday was missed because I was in bed recovering from #BlogHer13 so, I figured, I’d spare you all from postings about bed gowns and the such.

Today’s What I Wore Sunday consists of an entire ensemble scored from Target. All of it was on sale and one of the pieces was found to be maternity AFTER I purchased it, because well, I buy for comfort and not necessarily for label.

The dress is a Liz Lange dress that I picked up last year when I did look pregnant (no comments) and have been cinching since. It’s super comfortable as I guess most dresses made for women who are about to give birth or who have just given birth should be. I’m guessing this will be the last summer that I sport it, because honestly, I should be ashamed of the fact that I’m wearing a dress with an easy breastfeeding top, and proudly to boot.

The wedges were also scored from Target a couple of weeks ago when I decided to go and peruse the aisles while waiting for Mr. Houseful to get off of work. I saw these and the shoes listed in my WIWS post from two weeks ago, and snagged them both for a little under $15 a piece.

I’m also wearing LIPSTICK and in a color that is SO NOT MY STYLE, but I love it anyway! It’s M.A.C’s Girl About Town and Ms. Raijean of Swa-rai.com is also seen wearing it in this post. She is the one that encouraged me to get it, and I’m pretty surprised to say that I love it. I’m not sure if participating in a fashion show opened up my ability to wear color, but I’m embracing it!

My hair is my usual. Full afro puff pulled back with a hair tie. It seems to be my go to hairstyle these days, especially with all of the hair that I must maintain in my household.

Speaking of which, I must put loc maintenance on my schedule for the cellist and maybe we’ll finally start Sir Twizzlers.

Hopefully you all like this outfit and don’t give me too much flack about the maternity dress. 🙂
