We Have a Model!

Last Saturday my oldest participated in his first fashion show. A Back to School fashion show to be exact. I would have called it ironic if he wasn't out of school for the Chicago Public School's strike, but whatevs.

I'm sure that he doesn't want me blogging exclusively about it, so I'll just leave you guys with some photos. He was supposed to be representing a weekend out for a city kid. I'm not going to mention how his entire outfit was more than one third of our rent. Thanks Polo! :-\

Overall, he looked really nice, and I think that I kind of like seeing him in regular clothes and not a uniform. Especially since we're discussing sending him to a high school where he would possibly have to wear uniforms as well. My poor child won't be able to wear regular clothes until college.

Where was I? Oh, the photos. Here we go:

He did pretty well on the runway, but apparently, the ladybug was SLAIN that she wasn't able to walk. So next year, if the store would like to have us, she'll be modeling as well. Help me now. Have any of your children participated in department store shows?

Will I have to give my daughter or son a nickname rivaling that of Honey Boo Boo? Say it ain't so!

My 4 year old participated in the Dillard's BTS show last year. And let me tell you she's been bit by the bug. She refers to herself as "Supermodel" and "Diva", but still recognizes that that mommy is the "queen".
