Pattern Review: I Think Sew’s Flores Clutch

Pattern Review, Sewing

I Think Sew Flores Clutch

YAY! I’m back to sewing again! This time, I’m sewing up lots of clutches and bags for the Etsy shop. This beauty is the Flores Clutch by I Think Sew, and it was a breeze to sew up.

There were ten pieces of fabric, and a magnetic clasp. That’s it. And in those ten pieces, three of the pieces were interfacing. Didn’t take a huge amount, and I’m all for not using a bunch of interfacing because of the cost.

From cutting out the pattern, to finishing up the topstiching took me an hour and a half. Love it. I bet that I could have a marathon of five or six to stock my shop, and not take more than three or four hours.

Right now, most patterns from I Think Sew are on sale for 50% off and she even has some that are on sale for 35% off as well. There are a few that are full price, like this Katie Boston Bag but it’s worth it. I’m loving the structure of that one as well! Can’t wait to pick it up.

I don’t know if you can see it now, but I have my labels! Finally! My bestie did the design for me, so be prepared to see them emblazoned all over everything. I did put them in an odd spot on this bag, so I hope that the recipient doesn’t mind. The labels were done by Sewnique (SBshop on Etsy) and she did such a fantastic job. We convo’d back and forth for a bit until I was satisfied with what I wanted (and believe me, I’m kind of wishy-washy with very easy decisions – Mr. Houseful hates it) and she never made me feel like I was getting on her nerves.

So, I’m back in the swing of things, and can’t wait to show you all what I’m whipping up. I’ve also joined another swap, and can’t wait to show you what I’m thinking about making for my partner – but I won’t be able to post until I know that they’ve received it.

Until later, make it a fantastic day!
