Conference Ready With eShakti

Conference Ready With eShakti

As you know, a couple of weeks ago, I attended the Mom 2.0 Conference in Orlando, Florida, and I knew that I wanted to be conference comfortable, but also conference stylish. I mean, this IS my job and all, and I wanted to be ready to speak to potential business partners without looking like I had just gotten off of a plane and wanted to do nothing more than sleep. Which if you’re wondering is how I really felt.

Usually when I’m visiting a very hot space, I only bring dresses and skirts, because, ventilation. I HATE being hot, but I like being cute, so once again, eShakti came to the rescue. I partnered with them again to give you a review of this beautiful shirt dress, and I’m sure you can already tell which side of the line my review will land.

My First Mom 2 Summit

As with any of the dresses that I’ve been sent or purchased, I ALWAYS keep the pockets. Pockets keep me from always having to lug my purse around because I can carry my ID, money, and lipgloss. I can also slip tissues into the other pocket just in case I need those too. Once again, I chose a dress with an obi belt, although this one didn’t cinch tight enough for me. Amazingly, my waist is smaller than the belt was allowed to go, so I had to move it a bit to get it to look right.

I chose to keep the skirt length as shown because I kinda dig the June Cleaver look of this dress. It’s a gingham print, and full cotton. When I first opened it out of the box, I was surprised with how heavy the material felt. Especially since I knew that I would want to wear it during the summer. However, the material is breathable, and I didn’t feel hotter than I normally do when I wear thinner material. I should take a moment to let you know that I HATE HEAT, so for me to be comfortable enough to smile while posing outside in 90+ degrees, is amazing.

This photo’s purpose is solely to show the back of the dress and how it lays on someone that’s only 5’2″ tall. I am thinking that I will pair it with some cognac wedge sandals and rock it for church one Sunday. Yes, I rock clothes for church. There is NOTHING that states that you can’t be cute while worshiping. This skirt hits me in the middle of my leg, so midi length in my most Captain Obvious voice.

The hotel was a bit chilly, so the weight of the dress was absolutely perfect. Here are the deets about the dress:

This gingham check cotton shirtdress gets forward edge from a billowy cut cinched in at the waist with an obi style sash tie belt.

I’ve also found that my body type loves fit and flare dresses from the eShakti site. Shirtdresses are definitely my jam, and I’m good anywhere from knee-length to maxi length in my skirts. Just because I’m short doesn’t mean that the midi length makes me appear cut off. I would have done heels if I weren’t running all over the place this day, but I was, so I didn’t.

I love knowing that I can have custom fitted clothing created for me, and that I will look fantastic in them each and every single time. I’m learning about my style – which includes belted waists and flared skirts, and I’m having fun while doing it.

Our FIRST Eighteenth Summer in Twilight Moon - Our Kia Sedona | Houseful Of Nicholes

Tuesday 26th of June 2018

[…] She came to us on a cool day in May. May 16th to be exact. A deep blue/purple color, and sparkling like no man’s business. I’d been wanting to get my hands on a Kia Sedona since taking one for a spin during Mom 2.0 in Orlando, Florida last year. I even did a video while I was cruising around I-Drive and searching for the nearest Target to visit. I snagged Michelle from Divas With A Purpose later that day, and we cruised around in an Optima, but that’s another story.  […]

I couldn't help but smile .. I hate being hot too! So wear dresses a lot in the warmer months You look absolutely adorable and summery in the blue stripes. I hadn't thought much about pockets, but you're right, how handy not to have to carry a purse around everywhere! x

I love that dress! It looks fun, functional, pretty and comfy all at the same time. You look fantastic, and wearing a dress with pockets is really smart! I can't stand lugging my purse around either, so pockets are definitely a plus for me.
