Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States? Did you know that black women are at the highest risk of developing this disease? While these facts are upsetting, the steps we need to take to reduce our risk are simple. Here’s a great fact sheet and action plan geared towards black women. Please share these with other women (and men) that you know so we can all lead healthier lives.
Last year, I was honored to attend the 2nd Annual Girls Night Out, Go Red for Women event in Chicago and learn more about ways to promote heart healthiness. Can’t you tell?

I never was aware of Heart Disease until I met a good blogging friend name Raijean. Until I met her, I never really paid attention of the facts about heart disease. It is important to me now, because I have a kid to want to be as healthy to take care of her.
