Once again, the people in Chicago are going to be treated to the culinary prowess of Stephanie Izard of Girl and the Goat fame. On Thursday, July 21, at 12 noon, she will be at Macy’s State Street in the Culinary Studio.
You may know Stephanie Izard as a Top Chef, but we here in Chicago know her as the owner of Girl and the Goat, Little Goat, and her newest venture, Duck, Duck, Goat. She’s also a brand new mom of an eight week old, and still being the funny chef that I’ve grown fond of over the years. Her love of quick pickling, and super simple recipes makes her a favorite go to in my kitchen.
One of my favorite reasons to attend her cooking demos, is the storytelling that goes along with her preparation. I know that some way, she will weave a story about cooking with her mother or other family members, and delight our ears as well as our palates. Given that she will be preparing some of her favorite summer bites is another plus. I know that they will be easy, and the ingredients won’t be difficult to procure.
