The time when Ming Tsai comes to Macy’s State Street, and it isn’t for me, but I’m going anyway. Chef Ming Tsai is hosting a cooking demonstration for children, Friday, August 12, 2016 at 12 noon. The 7th floor Culinary Studio in Macy’s on State Street will be the location for this wonderful event.
Ever since Chicago created Create TV, and allowed me to catch several episodes of Chef Tsai in one day, I’ve been hooked. His style of cooking and teaching is so very laid back, and you can tell that he really enjoys what he does for a living. Much like every other Culinary Council chef, he embodies what it means to be someone vested in their craft.
As you might have guessed, the kids will be attending with me to get their hands in their food, otherwise I might look shady. However, I’m going to rest easy knowing that I finally get to check another famous chef off my foodie list, and learn directly from them. Given that he’ll be sharing his favorite kid friendly recipes, it will be great for me, since school is starting next month.
You can join us too! Adults are free, but children are $10 per ticket, and with any $35 purchase from the Home Department in Macy’s (the bottom level in the State Street store) you will receive a special gift and a copy of Simply Ming in Your Kitchen, which Chef Tsai will sign for you! An RSVP will also net you a $20 Macy’s gift card, so you’re winning on all accounts.
You can learn more about the event HERE and hopefully, you and your sous chef will be able to join us on Friday, August 12 at 12pm!
