Here in Chicago, we love to find late night good eats, and last month I was treated to great sandwiches right in the heart of the loop. Capriotti’s is an award-winning sandwich shop that remains true to their 40 year tradition of slow-roasting whole, all natural turkeys in-house every day. The turkeys are then hand-shredded every morning to be featured in a variety of Capriotti’s fan-favorite subs. The Bobbie, the shop’s acclaimed best-seller, is made with homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo on a soft roll. That sandwich happened to be one of Mr. Houseful’s favorites.
I LOVED the Capastrami that I had, and will definitely be ordering again on one of the date nights that Mr. Houseful and I happen to have.
We were in the company of other social influencers, and enjoyed a bit of time out in the heart of the city we love. Here are a couple more photos of the sandwiches and salads we got to sample. If you need to see the menu, you can click >HERE<
If you happen to be in town, Capriotti’s is located right off of Lake & Wabash and open until 10 pm during the week.
Are there any places that you have on your radar for great late night eats, or date nights with the significant other. We always like having places like that in our back pocket, and since the loop is one of my favorite places to explore extensively, it’s nice to know that a restaurant actually stays open until 10 pm instead of closing when all of the workers leave.
Just in case you need to know, there are vegetarian options available, and large subs big enough to feed a family make it a good budget stretcher. If you go, tell them Houseful of Nicholes sent you. And get the Capastrami.
Our Houseful LOVES comments! It warms our hearts to know that you're touched by something enough to say hello! We'll respond back to you! Promise!
