Thanks to Great Clips for sponsoring today’s discussion
It’s about time for many of my friends to start getting geared up to send their children back to school. As a matter of fact, many of them have already sent the little apples of their eyes back to school and are already talking about homework and supply lists. Most of all, they are probably wondering how they are going to afford it all. The problem is, your child’s teacher may be thinking the same thing.
Did you know, on average, a teacher spends $1000 out of pocket to help educate your child? This can be anything from pens, paper, art supplies, and books. With budget cuts and cutting of things in the school, it’s taking a lot of ingenuity to make sure that our kids are taught well. With Nathaniel attending private school next year, I’m not as worried, but for his entire career in grammar school, I had some worries about if the classrooms had enough. It’s already bare bones in most classrooms, and asking teachers to furnish those bare bones rooms out of their pocket is abysmal.
This is why I love that Great Clips is donating to classrooms with every download of their Online Check-In App through their adopt a classroom initiative. By checking out the Online Check-In App, you can watch the Classroom Makeover video, enter the #GREATLIST contest, and download the Online Check in App, which will help donate to Adopt A Classroom.
With more than 3,300 salons throughout the United States and Canada, Great Clips is the world’s largest salon brand. Great Clips salons employ nearly 35,000 stylists who receive ongoing training to learn the Great Clips customer service system and advanced technical skills. Great Clips salon owners and corporate office are dedicated to our salon communities with a focus on philanthropic and volunteer activities.
This service lets you add your name to the waiting list at your local Great Clips salon. It’s not an appointment – what it does is let you add your name to the list before arriving at the salon to help save you time. With every download of the check in app between July 15 and September 5 of this year, a donation to AdoptAC will be made not to exceed $20,000.
