Full Of Words Wednesday

The twins have put me through a lot of things in the last seven days. Flat out refusal to do things.

Falling down and skinning noses while at the playground.

Saying ‘no’ with such enthusiasm and glee, and realizing that this word with only two letters packs such a huge punch.

Waking up cranky because of cutting new teeth.

Basically, they’re being almost two year old twins.

But they are mine.
And they are a blessing.

And they will be two in a little over a month.

Time is moving much faster than I would like.

It wasn’t long ago that my belly was swollen with these two little people waiting for their arrival with a mixture of nervousness and intrigue.

They keep me on my toes each day, and sometimes I want them to slow down for MY benefit, but on days like this, I want them to slow down even more because I can’t bear to know that I’m losing the innocence of my children. They are growing, and becoming independent, and I am but an observer.

I’ll wear that title with pride though, and be the best observer, and maybe sometimes participant in their shenanigans.

They are adorable, but one two-year-old at a time, please! :D Don't know how you do it. Four is my favorite age. I think I'd be eager for them to reach four and then just stay four forever!

There are some days where I don't know how I do it either. Four is a super chatty age in our household. I remember the cellist as a four year old, and now the ladybug is four. I can only imagine the hilarity that will ensue when the twizzlers turn four. I am indeed dreading the day that she gets older. Mostly because she still thinks that I'm awesome, and is open to all of the crazy ideas that I have.
