Full Moon Fest Chicago with MSI & Adler Planetarium

Are you bedazzled by the moon? If so, I have news about the Full Moon fest here in Chicago that is being hosted by the Museum of Science & Industry and Adler Planetarium. Special hours, special performances, and special surprises abound!

On Saturday, December 22, MSI is open until 9 p.m. to celebrate its first-ever Full Moon Fest celebrating the last full moon of 2018 and culminating a monthlong schedule of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 8 mission.

MSI is partnering with the Adler Planetarium to offer multiple telescopes in its Smart Park, give guests the chance to chat with astronomers about the brightest object in our sky, and learn how to make their own space slime.

Celebrate the last full moon of 2018 with a nighttime, all-ages festival curated to launch your curiosity more than 200,000 miles above Earth’s atmosphere. Gaze at the brightest object in our night sky through telescopes in the Smart Park, get your face painted with sparkling space patterns, learn how to make galaxy slime, see special live performances, and more.
