Full of Words Wednesday: Hair Stories
I get a lot of questions about my hair. Mostly the questions come from folks not the same race as me, and that's fine. A lot of the questions center around what exactly my hair is capable of doing. I'm sure that most of you who have been reading my blog for quite some time have kind of realized that I'm a bit of a no frills type when it comes to my locks. I'd rather the intricacy go into something else. Unfortunately, my hair rebelled at being ignored.
Yes, this a picture from a dentist visit sometime last week, and we are holding the Goliath sized teeth and toothbrush. My children also happen to look at ALL people like they are annoyed, not just me, so I'm pretty stoked about that.
So I did this. Rather, my good friend did this for me. Let's be clear. I can NOT replicate this if my life depended on it. She also clipped my ends (that were severely split) and made me look girly. It was achieved with a blow dryer, flat iron, and curling iron. More heat than my hair has dealt with in a bit of time, but it was necessary.

So what do you think? I'd probably only do this four times a year. Specifically to trim my ends and give my natural hair a bit more of a twist.
That's about it.
I love my hair, but darn it if it isn't one of those pesky things that I just don't have tons of time to cater to.

I think it looks great!
I don't give my hair a lot of attention either. I do love it when it's all styled up and fresh though.
Thank you so much. I wish that I had a live in stylist. It would be so fantastic!

It looks lovely ... I can never get my hair to look like it does when I leave the salon. I'm counting down the days until I cut it off lol
I remember my first big chop. Now I have this hair flat-twisted loosely on both sides. I would be lying if I said that I don't enjoy playing in it. But it will be back in the twists in a few days. LOL!
