Get Creative With Your Oats with Kashi #OatsMadeGreat

Kashi Oats Made Great

It’s no surprise that lots of people skip breakfast. It can get boring. Even for me. I want to be able to reach out and have something that is going to be filling AND tasty. I’m always on the lookout for something to help me with this mission, so when the good people from Jewel-Osco (here in IL) reached out to me to create something awesome with Kashi Oats, I said what the hay?

Kashi Oats Made Great

Earlier this month, I whipped up a midday snack for the kids that included hand whipped whipped cream (say that three times fast) and they loved it. While making it, I remarked how awesome it would be if I could add some crunch to it, and REALLY get more for my time. With the Kashi Honey Almond Flax cereal, I had the crunch AND sweetness that I wanted, with the benefit of 9g of protein per serving, I’d stay full well into the morning. It was also nice to put a homemade spin on the cereal and not have to eat something that I had to cook. Creating something fun, filling and tasty was awesome.

To my simple creation I added blueberries, strawberries, greek yogurt, homemade whipped cream, and an extra drizzle of honey – layered of course, because it should always be pretty when you eat it, right? At this point you can choose to mix it all together, and have a bit of everything in each bite for sure, or layer and work your way down.
