The Mood Strikes KY Liquibeads

Yep, I did it. I put sex in the title of this post. Because intimacy with your significant other is awesome, right? Except, you’re not going to get any of my secrets, because that’s only for Mr. Houseful to know. However, I will let you know this. With the building of our home over the last 15 months (yes, one year, three months) it’s been TOUGH to be as spontaneous as we would like to be. Between both of us working full time – out of the house for him, and in the house for me – homeschooling the three littles, and going through the last full year of elementary school and first few months of high school for the cellist, we have not been able to hop to it as much as our hearts desired. PLUS having babies just does something to the body of a woman that I care not address in this post. Having four of those little ones just sends that something into overdrive. I’ve been a fan of the KY brand for years now because when push comes to shove, I know that I’d rather be able to connect with my husband than sit and be embarrassed about an issue that is naturally occurring. Now that I’ve tried KY Liquibeads that I picked up on one of my many weekly Target runs, I really don’t have to worry about anything anymore. My body is ready when #TheMoodStrikes, and I don’t risk anyone falling asleep waiting for the other. It’s happened. Don’t judge.

KY Liquibeads

Since closing last week, we’ve been living out of two homes, and it’s a bit chaotic to say the least. We still have items to get purged from our old home – which you would have thought that we would have finished by now, but yet it still remains. Going through these items, we were able to find some photos from back in the day when we were both younger, thinner and a bit more spry. One of those photos was of us as freshmen in college, and boy do we look hilarious. I had nail tips and everything and my eyebrows look like they were on boycott from any form of shaping. We were four years strong and very much in love.

Then we found photos of our wedding day that a friend had sent in scrapbook form. We were super happy that day and so excited to get back to our hotel to seal the deal. The cellist was already seven years old and my body was still young-ish, so we had no problem moving from celebrating to celebrating if you know what I mean. There is something about Mr. Houseful being able to catch my eye across a room that has me always searching for the nearest exit. If we’re in our own home, it has me searching for the best reason to politely kick company out.

It made me think about how this entire journey of building the house has kind of rekindled that unbridled passion we had when we were young(er) You know what I’m talking about. Tool belt wearing, hammer swinging, 2×4 carrying Mr. Houseful is SUPER hot. There’s something about knowing that your spouse literally had a hand in building every aspect of your house that’s a fire starter. Knowing that our hardwood flooring was put down one hot afternoon, long after the sound of hammers driving nails into wooden walls had ceased. It was no sound but that of us breathing and sawing floor pieces into precise cuts. We spent that afternoon sweating, and covered in sawdust and laughing like loons when we realized just how much work it was going to take to finish. If I didn’t know that he loved me before, I knew that with this particular quest of ours, he did indeed.

That man is sexy, yo. His 100 watt smile is enough to get me to go anywhere with him, but with age comes some resistance. Now, I don’t have to worry about that anymore, and can be ready when I want to be. I am blessed enough to have a very patient husband, but the frustrations that come with not being on when you want are enough to make me close down shop. The use of them is pretty nifty. There are six beads in one package, and you use the included applicator to insert a bead every few days so that you can be as spontaneous as you remember being. To make sure that you’re ready before making love, insert at least 30 minutes prior to wanting to get down to business. Please make sure that if you’re nursing or pregnant that you consult your physician.

Now that the hammers, nails, and saws have been put to rest for the time being, we’ll have some fun building memories in that bedroom that we installed flooring in. You can build some memories too AND save money while you’re at it. Check out the KY Coupon here
