Do you know how old you were when you first watched Lady and the Tramp? I’m pretty sure I was somewhere around the age of my twins, maybe a little younger when I took in this canine love story and marveled over the fact that I could have such disdain for cats. Let’s not even mention the fact that the aunt is completely clueless about caring for a baby, and knowing when dogs are doing their due diligence to protect that child that she came from out of town to watch after.
Yes. I have quite a few thoughts in regard to the movie, and I’m so happy to have finally been able to share the viewing with my houseful of littles on Bluray! They were able to see a story I loved and they had an added perk of being able to view the sing-along version so that they could know the words right off the bat. With bonus extras like that version and two others, plus stories from Walt’s office, Walt & his dogs, How to make a meatball and other facts about Lady and the Tramp, everyone is sure to fall in love with the story all over again.
The new Bluray version also offers Movies Anywhere so that you can download and stream on your computer, smartphone television or tablet. So those long car rides that we take for vacations? We’re handling it with this option for the movie.

While you’re getting ready, I’ll share about the great paint and sip party we had at Paint & Sip Studio LA, during the #BlackPantherEvent. We were tasked with re-creating the spaghetti and meatballs tablescape outside of Tony’s restaurant. You remember it don’t you? Where two pups in love share their first kiss over one long spaghetti noodle?
This is what we were supposed to do.
This is what I did.
In my defense, I have none. I don’t fancy myself a painter, but this was a cool experience, even if we were all slap happy because it was a bit late. Our painting guide was SO PATIENT with all 25 of us, and I think she’s amazing.
Remember, that you can get Lady and the Tramp on Bluray TODAY and be transported back to your childhood. If you’re up for it, take a few of your friends for spaghetti and meatballs, and then go and paint it!
