We’re On The Furniture Hunt

So, I’ve been looking at furniture again. I was asking about a farm table on my Facebook page, and got a bunch of answers and websites and blogs and all of that. Then I found a blog for basically everything that I could ever want for my house. I also got caught up with the cheap canopy beds and cheap chaise lounge items that they had on their site.

It’s no secret that having four children will make you look for creative ways to store house them all. We of course started looking for beds that could use as little space yet provide extra storage for the twizzlers, miss ladybug and the cellist. Unfortunately, my home decorating lack of focus kicked in and I found myself browsing chaise lounges that I could put in my bedroom so that I could sit on it and pretend to read actually read the books that I took out of our public library.

I also started looking at the canopy beds for Mr. Nicholes and I. I don’t know what it is about them, but they are so romantic looking and I’m sure that I could convince him to let me put one in our bedroom draped with chiffon and in all white. I’m sure that I could at least get him to NOT laugh about it.

Decorating and furnishing a house was always the same thing to me as a little kid. Now, I understand that choices must be made, and it’s not always done in one fell swoop. Every piece of furniture that comes into our house from here on out has to have functionality as well as be aesthetically pleasing.

How hard is it for you all to choose furniture? Do you find yourself daydreaming about how you want your house to look as well? Share with me! And if you get caught up in the site above, no NOT blame me! But maybe you can buy me a little bit of something as a thank you. 🙂

I love decorating! And even though I don’t need any more furniture, I still like to look at catalogues and go to furniture stores. good luck with your hunt.

Daenel, this is a little harder than I anticipated. I’m wondering if I should do room by room and just move on when I feel that one room is complete, or decorate each room a little in a rotating way. How’s your new house coming along?
