So, with roughly 19 more days left until Christmas morning, it’s time to get serious.
Yes, I haven’t completed my Christmas shopping yet, and that’s for several reasons. First one, I’ve been busy procrastinating. Second, I’ve been busy making aprons to earn my keep as the second in command in the Houseful of Nicholes, and lastly, I’m just not completely impressed with a lot of things out there for the kid collective. I know, I know, bad mama Nicholes.
However, I did come across one website that combines pretend play with education! BOOM – The ladybug is DEFINITELY taken care of. I was looking around for educational toys for kids and got totally sucked in. First of all, a LOT of their toys are wooden. I love wooden toys and not so much because of the environmental factor (once again – I know, bad mama Nicholes,) although that’s a definite plus. Wooden toys are just COOLER to me. The ladybug has several wooden toy sets from various birthdays and Christmases past that she still enjoys playing with and monopolizing from the twizzlers.
On my dream list for her is:
It’s all wooden, even the appliances! How cute is that?!
They also have gifts for Lil Miss Twizzler and Sir Twizzler. And since ultimately, they would end up playing with each others toys, I figure I can get them items like these (click on pictures for pricing)
Unfortunately, they don’t have anything really up to the cellists speed. However, I think that he won’t mind too much “assisting” the youngest with their imaginative play, that is, until he unwraps his gifts.
How about you? Are you done Christmas shopping? Do you do Christmas shopping? We’re making gifts for everyone yet still adding two or three gifts per child from stores. I think that they will like it.

I havent started as well. I had planned on online shopping but its getting late in the game for that so Im heading to a couple of stores this weekend.
I was thinking online too, but then decided no. It will be a much smaller Christmas, but it will still be fun.
No one is getting gifts this year – we are going away. Lady C got one big gift from us and that’s it other than necessaries like pajamas
I tried to get the Mr. to go away for Christmas and he doesn’t think that it’s right. No worries, I’ll get my way next year. HA!
The kitchen is very cute!
I absolutely LOVE it. And the fact that it’s wooden took it over the top for me. Unfortunately, the ladybug will either have to wait until her birthday or next Christmas to get it. 🙁
