The Ladybug is a Big Sister
And she didn’t take too kindly to it at first. I have a story about it, like to hear it, here it goes:
Friday morning we had the babies.
Monday afternoon we returned home.
Monday evening, the ladybug entered the building.
Monday evening, there was a staredown of massive proportions between the ladybug and well, the twizzlers.
The twizzlers played it non-chalantly while the ladybug insisted on walking up to their faces and staring at them to try and intimidate.
Let’s not tell you of the instance in which Lil Miss Twizzler started nursing and the Ladybug felt that she was attacking me and tried to pull her off.
Yes, yes, there was jealousy all around.
Tuesday morning was a totally different story. All of a sudden the ladybug had morphed like a Power Ranger into the Brown Ranger – superpower Mommy’s Helper.
Now we have to watch her to make sure that she is not being “too” helpful which she insists on. Trying to hold the babies when they sleep, or go and get them when they cry. It’s exhausting to try and keep up with her, but it warms my heart that she is at least showing a loving side to the babies.
The Cellist is acclimating well for the most part. There was a bit of regression on his part (yes in a couple of days) where he wanted me to get up and make him a bowl of cereal. *blank stare* We had a long talk and he now understands that Papa Nicholes and I are not ignoring him, but taking care of the people in the house that can’t take care of themselves.
You all continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We’re definitely going to need them for the next few months.
~Make it a FANTASTIC day!
