Taking Time for Me – With the Ladies from High School

Last night I did something that I haven’t done since my best friend moved from Chicago down to Florida. I went out with old friends. It sounds SO sad, but I haven’t really been out with any of my high school or college friends in a minute. For the most part, I’m one of the only married with children people out of us, OR I live too far away from those that are married and/or have children.

I’ll tell you another secret too. My husband kind of had to urge me to go. He volunteered to watch the kids while I went out for a couple of hours. The invite said your significant others could come, BUT I know that usually leads to having to explain a lot of the inside jokes that may exist, and he wouldn’t have wanted that. So, I got a little dressy – black simple dress with simple black sandals and he dropped me off at my destination.

Let me tell you, there’s nothing like good food, good memories and catching up with old friends to really put you in a good mood. I laughed a LOT last night – over wonderful Mexican food, although I did get a little bit jealous at the fact that everyone else around me could drink margaritas plentifully!

Just want to send thanks out to the ladies for just planning a get together for no reason other than we needed to catch up. It did this old feeling woman good. 🙂

    *flutters eyes*

I'm still waiting on the ones that were taken. I think that I was so excited to have a night out that I didn't check for the camera.
