Pregnant Women Can Look Good Too….

Even those of us who are pregnant with multiples.

Recently I had the pleasure of being the Event Coordinator for The Broken Brown Egg’s Infertility Awareness Gala . Right. I’ll let the irony and blessedness of all events marinate on your brain for a second. 😉 Anyway, I was going crazy trying to find a dress to wear that didn’t make me look like I was wearing a mu-mu (as comfortable as they are, they weren’t appropriate dress for this event) or take the savings that I have for my first born to go to college. I mean, someone should really talk to clothing designers and tell them that maternity wear is usually for NINE MONTHS and FURTHERMORE who wants to wear the SAME evening gown to every formal event that may take place during the duration of a pregnancy?!

I think that Mr. Nicholes and I look pretty darn cute. He with his understated swagger and I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how the dress made me feel (not hot) and that it made my clearly ENORMOUS chest not look so enormous. You all think that I’m kidding. We’ve moved to the E class people. E!

To give more background on Belly Bump Boutique, I did ask Julie what made her go into this business, and she said that she saw a need that wasn’t being filled. She stated that pregnant women value looking good – even more (sometimes) than women who aren’t with child because our bellies just make everything so obvious. So, if you are looking to rent a dress – yep, rent, she is the person to go to. Each rental is for a 7 day period, and she provides the cleaning and pressing for you in the rental price. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself. Especially when you walk away feeling like a princess with a beach ball attached to your belly.
