So, I’m very well aware that New Year’s Eve was a mere 16 days ago, and that if I was going to make any resolutions, I should have declared them before then. However, this is not how things roll in the Houseful – number one – and I did sort of declare this particular resolution before the end of the year anyway – number two. There is no number three.
I’m sure you all are wondering what that particular resolution is. I can assure you, it has nothing to do with actually exercising IN a gym, but taking charge of my life in a way that seems a bit – Natasha. That is, in 2012 I’m going to make more of my clothes, in order to learn to love my body.
I figure if I make my clothes, I will learn to appreciate the sizes that have to go in them. I’m not HUGE by any means, but having four children – two of them being a twofer, can take its toll on a body. Now, before you all go all, feminist on me, I LOVE my body, I love how it has changed from child to child, what I do NOT love is having to hide certain aspects because they aren’t holding up their side of the firmness contract. Know what I mean?
So, Trop50 has encouraged all of us to put our true resolutions out there! I’m expecting to be held accountable by my husband and by you all of course (just be nice) with continuing to build my wardrobe throughout the entire year.
The reason that this falls in line with orange juice is the fact that I would also like for my clothes to look great after I have made them for myself. Meaning, I really gotta get rid of this gut nice belly and get a nicer belly. And well, anything with 50% less sugar and calories has to help, right. It also doesn’t hurt that I love orange juice. WITH. PULP. It’s that serious around these parts. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love orange juice? (don’t answer if you’re allergic!) I’ve found that during my pregnancy, sometimes that was the only thing that could settle my stomach – AND it was good for me.
So, what are your goals for this year? And if you’ve been one of my online friends for a while now, you know that I have no regard for “rules,” so forget that today is the 16th of January, and let me know!
