With Summer Comes Canning: Mabel’s Labels Wash Aways

As much as I despise the heat that summer brings (I’m comfortable around a very nice 75-80 degrees thank you very much) I LOVE the food and gatherings that come with it. I also loved the Farmer’s Markets here in Chicago and usually end up buying way too much fresh produce to eat before the next market day rolls around. Which is why I took up canning. So far, I’ve made Pickles, Peach Butter, Apple Butter, Strawberry Rhubarb Preserves, Vanilla Extract and Blueberry Preserves.

There are times where I will go ahead and pull a jar of the items that I’ve made off of the shelf and hand it out to someone who I love or as a trial for them before they start their canning journey. Sometimes, I want to be able to get the jar back (if they don’t use it and minus the lid) and always need a great way for them to identify my things.

This is where my newest obsession Mabels Labels comes in. I was first introduced to Mabels last year some time through a giveaway that I entered. I also received a party pack from them when I went to Blogalicious last year. The quality of their product is magnificent, and they are cute, AND tween/teen friendly.

They are rolling out their new wash away labels that would be great for those of us who participate in food gatherings and need easy ways to identify what’s ours. It also helps with canning for easy identification throughout the season, and until you wash those beloved mason jars out

I absolutely hate having to wash those gummy labels off of things that I probably shouldn’t have put them on in the first place. I’m pretty glad that I can get cute and functional labels with Mabel’s Labels, and still hold on to my cookware, and canning jars.

So how about you? What would you put the wash away labels on? And please do not act as if I’m the only one obsessed with cute organization around these parts.
