Social Rev Up Meet-Up

Just a quick note to let you know that the Houseful is trying to expand their horizons. Yes, my dears, I went to my very first Social Media Meet Up, and I loved it!

For those parents in the Chicagoland area, I met Miss Lori in an element that was not surrounded by children (even though we know that we both LOVE to be around children) and it was great. Oh you want proof you say? Well, here ya go!

Isn’t she gorgeous?! She bounces around all over Chicago and various other states encouraging early literacy among children and the value of exercise too. And has the audacity to make it look easy! Hmph!

I also got the honor of meeting Rae Lewis Thornton. If you don’t know who this is, you should visit her website. She’s a powerful woman living with the AIDS virus. Her website is located HERE and she is also the creator behind the RLT collection that is having its first trunk show tomorrow! She’s dynamite in a very svelt package and if you talk to her long enough, she is sure to deposit something worthwhile into your spirit! You want proof of that too? Well, sure!

Fantastic woman. Absolutely fantastic.

I do have to say that I am grateful for the sponsors of this entire media meet-up which was the launch of the Social Rev Up brand located HERE It was nice to be able to get a better read about what the entire blogospher and twitterverse is about. And I did get a better grasp. So of course, I will be doing my darndest to attend their BBSummit next year. Let’s cross our fingers, shall we? Thanks to the hostesses – MJ Tam, Dwana De LaCerna, Melisa Wells, and Beth Rosen – they did a fantastic job.

What a dear treasure you are. Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad to know I make things look easy, but as the mother of three school age children, who runs her own business on her own, life is far from easy. But the more I smile with the wonderful people like yourself who I meet along the way, the lighter my load feels. And that’s a blessing we all deserve!

    SMILE On!

Oh Miss Lori, I KNOW that it is a challenge to do what you do. That’s why I love you even more for it! With twins, a three year old and a tween, I can ONLY imagine how I would feel if I added regular traveling to the mix. Keep up the SPECTACULAR work that you do, and we’ll keep coming out to meet ya!
