So, I’ve made my own detergent a little while back, and I figured if it were that easy and fiscal to make my own detergent, why not try to make my own universal cleaning solution? And with that I went off to Pinterest. My go to spot for bunches of inspiration and of course recipes for household cleaners for days.
So, I really don’t need to add yet another hobby to my already bursting at the seams repetoire, but I am.
I already mentioned that Mr. Nicholes and I will be attempting to build a couple of things.
And also, THIS:
So, guess what we’ll be documenting on this blog here for the next couple of months? Please pray that we actually go through with it. I know how SOMEONE in this family sometimes gets cold feet when it comes to projects. *eyes material for a dress shirt sitting in the bin* Pretty soon, that material is going to make a FANTASTIC skirt or dress for me. Wait, where was I?
So today, I signed up for a MyLowe’s Card and will be able to track our spending and everything! How cool is that?
So, by the time everyone celebrates their next birthday, I will have a full farmhouse table to seat children at, and it will look a little more pulled together in the Nicholes abode.
Are any of you planning any major home improvements for next year?
So, I’ve been looking at furniture again. I was asking about a farm table on my Facebook page, and got a bunch of answers and websites and blogs and all of that. Then I found a blog for basically everything that I could ever want for my house. I also got caught up with the cheap canopy beds and cheap chaise lounge items that they had on their site.
It’s no secret that having four children will make you look for creative ways to
store house them all. We of course started looking for beds that could use as little space yet provide extra storage for the twizzlers, miss ladybug and the cellist. Unfortunately, my home decorating lack of focus kicked in and I found myself browsing chaise lounges that I could put in my bedroom so that I could sit on it and pretend to read actually read the books that I took out of our public library.
I also started looking at the canopy beds for Mr. Nicholes and I. I don’t know what it is about them, but they are so romantic looking and I’m sure that I could convince him to let me put one in our bedroom draped with chiffon and in all white. I’m sure that I could at least get him to NOT laugh about it.
Decorating and furnishing a house was always the same thing to me as a little kid. Now, I understand that choices must be made, and it’s not always done in one fell swoop. Every piece of furniture that comes into our house from here on out has to have functionality as well as be aesthetically pleasing.
How hard is it for you all to choose furniture? Do you find yourself daydreaming about how you want your house to look as well? Share with me! And if you get caught up in the site above, no NOT blame me! But maybe you can buy me a little bit of something as a thank you.
