African American Bloggers You Should Know

African American Bloggers You Should Know
African American bloggers you should know.

It never fails, blogging produces lists, and lists produce questions. Lots of them. When you bring the exclusion of certain races into question, then you are walking a fine line between truth-telling, and an ongoing discussion that make lots of folk uncomfortable. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is no reason to be uncomfortable, just aware. When I started this blogging journey almost four years ago, I didn’t realize that black people weren’t represented like we should be. I mean, with our buying power from all things hair, beauty, home, style and for our children, you would think that we would be a highly sought after group for PR and marketing firms. African American Bloggers are a group of individuals that are constantly overlooked when it comes to blogging “best  of” lists and all too often people feel if there is one, then the list is complete. We’re so much more than that.

We’re moms, dads, wives, husbands, students, doctors, teachers, and INFLUENCERS. We talk, people listen, and it’s time to be recognized for it. Do I want to be separate? Heck no, but until we are included, we’re going to have to be inclusive! Plus, how are you all going to find greatness if we never share each other with you. One of these days, the world will be the accepting place we want and need, and we won’t have to look for the ONE lady to represent, or the ONE person of color to represent, or the ONE insert another minority type here to represent.

Did you know that our racial group is set to spend $1.1 TRILLION in 2015? TRILLION people! That’s a lot of influence!

Do I still have you? I really hope that I do. Today, I’m sharing African-American bloggers you should know in general. We’ll cover the span of everything my list will always be updated as long as there is breath in my body.  If you have some that you want to share with me, leave them in the comments WE WANT TO GROW!

Awesome read! My blog is a great blog to check out. I interview people behind the scenes in entertainment like hairstylist, MUA's, and Wardrobe Stylist.

Hello! I thank you for compiling this list, as it can be quite exhausting trying to pin point bloggers if you are not familiar with their sites organically. By chance do you have a list of Chicago Bloggers?

I appreciate your help. Love your site.
